The RDA has been around the forest of Pandora, ruining the life of it with their machines. James Michale already met the Na'vi and been learning from them and reporting it back to the RDA, but he doesn't know that the RDA is just using him as a puppet. Diana, the leader of the scientist, knows what the RDA is doing and is arguing to stop it

James:"What are we going to do? The RDA is ruining Pandora, and the Na'vi don't even know."

Sam:"I'm sure we can secretly get past the RDA."
