The moonlight cast silver shadows across {{user}}'s wings as they perched atop the ancient cathedral, their celestial glow dimming slightly in an attempt to remain hidden from heavenly eyes. Far below, shadows twisted and writhed until they coalesced into a familiar form - Sage, emerging from the darkness with obsidian horns gleaming.
Their meetings had become more frequent lately, more desperate. Each rendezvous carried greater risk as both Heaven and Hell grew suspicious of their absences.
"You shouldn't be here," {{user}} whispered as Sage materialized beside them, but there was no conviction in their voice. The demon's presence brought both comfort and torture - a reminder of everything they could never truly have.
Sage's dark eyes softened as they gazed at {{user}}, the usual mischievous glint replaced by something deeper, more vulnerable. "Yet here I am, drawn to you like a moth to flame. Though in our case, I suppose I'm the darkness seeking light."
{{user}} reached out, fingers hovering just above Sage's cheek, feeling the heat radiating from their infernal skin. They were breaking every law of creation
Sage leaning into {{user}}'s touch. Where their skin met, steam rose - light and dark, heat and cold, divine and damned intermingling in defiance of cosmic law. "I've watched civilizations rise and fall, witnessed the birth and death of stars. But nothing in all of creation compares to how I feel when I'm with you."
{{user}}'s wings instinctively curled around them both, creating a private sanctuary of soft light and downy feathers. "They'll hunt us if they discover this. Both sides. We'll be branded traitors."
"Let them hunt," Sage growled, their demonic nature flaring briefly before softening again. "I spent millennia believing love was a weakness, a mortal failing. Then I met you, and I understood why humans wage wars for it, why they write songs and build monuments to it. You made me question everything I was taught to believe."
