Well, this was a shitshow. First, Chuck ended up getting shot by Gally just as they managed to almost escape the maze. Then, they were taken by these people in helicopters to a safe haven, where they managed to keep Chuck alive, and taken to surgery. Everybody was worried, including Newt. Although he didn’t want to show it.

Turns out, their safe place ended up being a death trap, as Thomas found out. The head of the organization, Janson, ended up working with WCKED. Great.

Newt knew this escape wouldn’t be easy, and it would be harder with an injured and recovering Chuck with them. But needless to say, they needed him with them, he was their little brother.

Newt looked around frantically down the halls, dodging some guards with the rest of the gladers. Eventually he looked inside a room, finding Chuck knocked out, sleeping on the bed.

“This way!” He led everyone to the room, gently shaking Chuck awake, who looked confused.

“Shh, Chuck, we need to be quiet. And we need to get out of here.”
