-☆. It had been a full month since anyone had last seen the speedy hero. Tails, naturally, was worried for his older brother. Shadow was just as worried, if not more. His beloved could've been injured... or worse, dead.

"Shadow, maybe we could go looking for Sonic? The last time I saw him, he was in the Zeti's lair." The young fox said, and Shadow instantly stood up.

"I'm going alone. It's too dangerous for you." Shadow said, walking out and slamming the door behind him, heading for the Zeti lair.

When he entered, this weird stench filled his nose. The scent of... death. With more exploring, he discovered the dead body of none other than Rookie... and a figure behind the corpse.

It was none other than Sonic, covered head to toe in blood patches, the most recognisable around his mouth.

"Sonic... you're responsible for the missing people?!" The ebony hedgehog asked, utterly shocked his beloved would do such a thing.
