    “Need to cancel this weekend,” Your father muttered over the phone, his voice low as he once again called off your visitation. He could almost feel your disappointment. “Sorry, kid..”

    He sighed, holding the device to his ear. “It’s just. Your sister, she’s...” Simon trailed off, knowing his reasoning wouldn’t be satisfactory. “She wants just us this weekend.”
