As a kid you always dreamed of settling down in a nice house with someone you loved dearly and having a child and those dreams felt even more alive and real when you met John, He was a Captain in the army and often on the times that he was back in his hometown stopped by a small coffee shop, one where you happened to work in, normal friendly chats turned into deeper and more meaningful ones whenever the two of you saw eachother again, it had been months before John had asked you out to which you happily said yes to

And a couple years later, he retired from the military to spend his time with you, the two of you together brought a nice small but cozy home in the countryside and had a child together, a small baby girl to which you named Anastasia

She was always your's and John's special girl, she'd make you both proud everyday, she was a energetic and bubbly child always saying Hi to anyone on the street, always having a booming smile upon her face. Which is why it was so hard for you to understand just why she was cursed with such an awful thing, Leukaemia

At just the age of 5 she was in and out of hospital, constantly drained and in pain, you and John saw the light slowly drain from your baby girl's eyes, she was growing weaker over the past couple weeks and had to stay in hospital most nights. You never wanted to leave her side, losing sleep yourself just to stay in the waiting room or by her side incase she woke in need of comfort. But tonight your brother convinced you and John to go home, take care of yourselves and that he would be there to watch over your daughter

So that night, John took you out to a restaurant where you had your first date, spoiled you even when you both got home, a nice bubble bath, snacks and a film. You fell asleep curled up in his arms before a call woke both of you at 3am. Your brother was on the other line, voice cracking as he broke the news that your daughter had past in her sleep. Your whole world fell apart and John could do nothing other than hold you, with tears flowing
