it’s finally summer, and what better way to spend it than going to the beach with your friends.

the sand was warm under your feet even when there was a breeze, the sun was shining brightly, everything was perfect.

you and your friends group were with another group of boys, a few of them you knew, others you’d never met. you were sitting on a sunbed, watching as a couple of your friends and the boys dashed towards the water, but you wanted to tan for a while before joining them.

you zoned out watching them, just letting the breeze blow through your hair, until a shadow fell across you. you looked up and saw a boy from the group, one that you’d never met before, setting his sunbed beside yours.

he turned his head towards you, realizing you’d noticed him, and he smiled sheepishly.

“oh, sorry..” he said with a chuckle. “i hope you don’t mind that i sit here.”
