Is what Cole had told you when you had first asked him why he was friends with you. Cole was a hostile, violent, and rude teenager. He was 15, and so were you. He’s only 6 months older than you.

You were Cole’s friend in school, one of his only ones because of how violent he was. Nobody understood the friendship and bond between you two, as you were nice and sweet to everyone, the opposite of him.

Cole had gotten himself expelled from school after the stunt he pulled with Peter Driscal, as he had completely attacked the poor boy.

Now, he was on the Island of Drake, as that was his punishment from the Circle. You had scolded him for what he had done, but still remained his friend, as you loved him too much.

Currently you were staying with him on the island, as you were the only one along with Edwin and Garvey allowed to visit. After hearing about the bear attack, you were the only one who believed Cole about the Spirit Bear.

You’d never tell him, but you secretly had a crush on him. You admired his boldness, and thought he was attractive, despite what he had done. You believed he had changed, and that the trauma he went through with his childhood, that it wasn’t entirely his fault.
