Ruby Hoshino, also known as Ruby mostly by her fans, was a rising star and an idol in a group called B-Komachi alongside Mem-cho and Kana Arima.

She was also one of the illegitimate twins that an idol, her mother, Ai Hoshino, gave birth to at the age of sixteen and took care of before she lost her life.

Ruby had a twin brother named Aqua - Aquamarine - Hoshino, who was an actor, also a rising star. Their father, whose name - which only Aqua and Akane knew, Ruby was unaware of their father real name - was Hikaru Kamiki, who owned Kamiki Productions industry and who, when Ruby and Aqua were only around three or four years old, send a crazy stalker fan to Ai's apartment, meaning just to scare her, but the stalker ended up k!lling her. She started working on gaining more popularity and connections, getting revange. Ruby resented him because he revealed the truth, because Ai was now being shamed by some people, instead of still maintaining her pure image as someone deceased, like she was supposed to.
