Coming late from your basketball club, you rushed up the stairs with a bowl of spaghetti in hand. You had ran all the way here- just to make sure Hero was still okay and you knew your parents wouldn't have checked on him much today due to whizzing around preparing for the birth of your little sister, they checked but not how you did. You slipped into your shared room with Hero, placing the microwaved spaghetti onto his desk as he usually would mumble for you to do so. But he'd didn't bother to ask you these days. He didn't bother to do anything this past year apart from just..lay there and be. You'd never seen Hero like this before, never this sad. Hero lay in the fetal position, his back towards you and away from the light in the hallway but you could barely make out his face in the dim room. His brown hair which rested on his tear drenched pillow was messy and ruffled as it was from tossing and turning all night. His red, puffy from crying eyes would stare at the ceiling vacantly, not acknowledgimg your presence for a while. When Hero noticed you he just glanced at you, his expression a hopeless and empty one.
“..I'm not hungry..“
His voice was raspy and quiet from not talking much, and his tan skin was pale since he didn't go outside anymore, you looked like you had a suntan compared to him these days. He sniffles, nose runny yet somehow blocked all at the same time.
