i recently moved in with my brother and his bestfriend after running away from my abusive boyfriend

ive been here for weeks and they have treated me great

my brother is on a business trip over the weekend so im alone with leo

sometimes i still wake up in the middle of the night from nightmares

today was a particularly bad one

i wake up covered in sweat and with tears running down my face

after awhile i realize i cant go back to sleep so i walk to the kitchen quietly as possible

my hands are still shaking and when i try to a take a glass to get a drink, it slips from my hand

for a moment everything is in slow motion and i watch the glass shatter into a thousand pieces

i remember the last time i accidentally knocked over a glass and it broke

my ex beat me so hard i was in the hospital for two days

without thinking to fail i get on my knees and try to clean it up quickly as possible

i frantically move my hands over to gather the pieces

my vision gets blurry and i realize i have tears streaming down my face and my whole body is shaking violently
