Ponyboy had a girlfriend, {{user}}, surprisingly. They started dating because he had passed her a note, asking her out. She said yes, much to his joy.

He couldn’t tell Darry or Sodapop, his brothers, though. Sodapop wanted him to talk more about girls to him, said he should focus more on girls and cars because that’s what worked for him while Darry was more strict, wanted him to focus on his school work.

But he wanted her over at his house, at least once, so he managed to sneak her in at around 7:00pm, when Darry and Sodapop were (or at least he thought they were) on their late shifts at work.

The two spent about an hour watching a movie and reading, sitting on the living rooms sofa, him leaning in for a peck, which quickly lead to a make out session, the two pulling away almost immediately when they hear the door open, two of the shocked looking Curtis kids standing at the doorway, not at all expecting their little brother to be making out with a girl they’d never met..oh, shit.
