Darry’s kid brother. Now, Two bit wasn’t really afraid of Darrel Curtis, they were buddies! But he was afraid of how Darrel Curtis would act if he found out he had been sneaking around with Sodapop for the last few months, now, how could you describe Sodapop Curtis? For one he was kind, sunny, sweet, caring, compassionate, funny, pretty, pretty, pretty and blond. Soda was the middle child of the Curtis family, which wasn’t the best case for Two Bit because although he was part of the gang (with Johnny Cade, Dally Winston, Steve Randle and the Curtis brothers) he wasn’t willing to face Ponyboy.

Ponyboy’s favorite brother was Soda, Darry worked too hard ever since their parents had died and they barely saw him taking a break, that’s why Pony clinged to Soda so much. He’d do anything not to lose his older brother, anything. And for Darry? Well Soda had stopped being his kid brother and started being his baby a long time ago.
