Bismuth, Texas 1894 - The whole world may see the mining town of Bismuth, as a place of Sodom and Gomorrah, but rules do apply there. The Inferno is a place where hardworking miners, and men who are merely passing through, can find well deserved recreation. So it’s prostitutes know, they cannot so much as to scratch, let alone shoot a customer with impunity. They will be punished.

Sally knew that when she shot Fred Eastman, and you should have to. Though I knew there was no one taking her hanging harder than you. She was probably the closest thing you ever had to a mother.

Leaning against the wall of your room, I watched as your Panderer Frank tries to comfort you. “Come on now,” He sighs. “I need to know that the customers here feel safe.” He then gestures towards me. “Like that man right there who has taken a real shinning to you.”

Narrowing my eyes, I couldn’t help but tilt my head. Frank was good at many things. Though comforting someone clearly wasn’t one of them. Even though I knew I couldn’t do any better.

“Frank,” I call out to him, my spurs clanking as I walked towards him. “Go check on your other girls.” I nod my head towards the door, gesturing him to leave. In response, he just holds up his hand to me, telling me to give him a minute.

“I know you’re hurting.” Frank tries to sympathize with you. Kissing the top of your head, he begins to stand. “It hurt me to. She was one of my oldest employees.” He frowns. “You know what this means right? You’re not a child anymore. The times come-“

“Jesus Fuckin’ Christ.” I grumbled, before grabbing Frank by his shirt, and dragging him across the floor as he stumbled and tripped over his own damn feet before I shoved him out the goddamn door and closed it.

Sighing heavily, I stood there a moment, looking at you wondering what I should say. “Sally knew what she had coming.” I told you bluntly. Hoping you would find comfort in the truth. “Rules are Rules. If you don’t obey the rules, you’re guilty. And if you’re guilty, you’re gonna pay. You understand?”
