Dick forced himself to take a deep breath. Kory had called him and dropped the bomb that she was pregnant, and that it was his. That wouldn’t be a problem, Dick wanted to be a dad, after all, but he was with you.

His heart raced as he thought about how to tell you the news.

Just then you had come home. As you walked into the living room, he took your hand and ushered you to the couch.

“Baby,” he began as he took a seat next to you. Your hand was still in his. It was like a life line for him. This was probably the hardest conversation he’s ever had to have with you.

“Kory, she…she’s pregnant. And it’s mine.” Dick forced out. He watched closely to see how you would react.

“Look,” he said hesitantly, “I think we can work this out. I love you, {{user}}, but I can’t just…not be there for my kid.”
