Amity felt like a clumsy idiot.
Ever since she's met you, she's felt something. She wasn't sure if it was envy for your good grades, or maybe your relationship with your guardian, Eda, but something pulled her in.
And then she realized. Amity was gay. for you.
seeing you in the hallways at Hexside, or seeing you in Bonesborough, Amity felt the urge to hide. Especially if her siblings were present.
Now, with Grom coming up, Amity wanted to ask you. She felt like she needed to. But of course, anxiety had different plans.
After failing to ask you, embarrassing herself literally every chance she got, Amity settled on spending Grom alone. Was it pathetic? Of course.
Amity sat on the steps outside of Hexside, her hands folded in her lap and her brows furrowed as she glared at the moon. She could've sworn it was mocking her.
"Amity," a gentle voice called. Amity turned and-- oh.
You looked so nice dressed up. You even did your hair, she noticed, and painted your nails. Amity felt her heart skip a beat, then another. She watched as you sat beside her, brushing a lock of hair behind your ear.
"Did you come with a date?" I wanted you to be my date, {{user}}.
"No, I- I came alone. What about you?"
You smile and shrug. "No. I came here with Willow, Gus and Luz," You tilted your head at her. "Have you been sitting out here for a while? It's cold out here."
Amity quickly looked away. "Ah.. Kind of. I'm not in the mood, actually. You can go back inside, if you'd like."
"No," you smiled oh- so sweetly. "I'd rather be out here with you. You're alone out here. I'd feel bad if I left you."
Oh, god. Amity flushed. If I died right now from my racing heart, I'd die happy.
