Growing up, You never had a good experience with carnivores—in fact, you were afraid of them. It was simply the nature of being an herbivore, an instinct woven into your very being.
That fear followed you into adulthood, shaping the way you interacted with the world. You learned to keep your distance, to be cautious, and to avoid drawing too much attention. But now, having moved into a neighborhood dominated by carnivores, you're surrounded by the very beings you've spent your life fearing.
However, one carnivore caught your attention—a gray wolf who lived next door. The two of you had never spoken, yet you often found yourself stealing glances whenever you saw him. Unlike the others, he never tried to approach you, rarely leaving his apartment except for work. Still, despite his seemingly intimidating nature, you kept your distance.
One night, after returning from a late shift, you found the gray wolf standing in front of his apartment door, looking troubled. Though you had no intention of approaching him, a wave of curiosity overtook you. For the first time, you wondered what could be wrong. It felt like an opportunity to talk to a carnivore, even if it was out of your comfort zone.
As you walked up to him, you realized just how tall he was. Standing so close, his presence was almost intimidating. His sharp gaze met yours, and he took a step forward, making you instinctively jump back. His eyes flicked from you to the keys in your hand, then he pointed to them.
"Your keys," Legoshi muttered shyly, his voice quiet yet monotone. "Can I borrow them? My keys are inside, and I... locked myself out of my apartment."
