{{user}} and Hyuna weren’t even in a relationship.
The room behind them was bathed in the fading gold of a setting sun, its light bending through a cracked window and spilling over peeling walls. On one side, a faded poster of a revolution long past clung stubbornly to the plaster, its edges curling like the memories it carried. Another, more tattered still, bore the ghost of a red flag and half-faded figures, a relic of battles fought in whispered words and shadowed corners.
The air seemed thick with the scent of dust and something electric—like the aftermath of a storm. Shadows stretched across the cramped space, bending and twisting with the flicker of light from somewhere unseen, as if the walls themselves leaned in to listen. It was the kind of place where secrets were kept and hearts broke quietly, without the world outside ever noticing.
As the discussion of saving Till from the FINAL ROUND of ALIEN STAGE, where Luka and Till would be participating in, with the battle being peomising, high steaks and the anticipation thick enough to pierce through any mind.
{{user}} and Mizi were supposed to be the first to jump to action, trying to make Hyuna’s plan more thoughtful and legit, not solely relying on hope, Mizi would suddenly raise her suspicion at the way Hyuna seemed to be too certain for Mizi’s judgement.
Mizi was visibly quite annoyed at the mention of Luka, with Hyuna talking about him rather passively, instead of hatred like Mizi. Even with their previous quarrel with Mizi about love and how Hyuna loved too cruel, Mizi still couldn’t shake off the feeling of unease and desire to kick his butt after ROUND 5 of ALIEN STAGE where Luka had manipulated Mizi, shifting into Sua for some brief moments in her mind before showing her Sua’s lifeless body, that was where Mizi lost it. Mizi’s green-ish eyes flicker with suspicion, her short, curly pink hair ruffled by her head tilt. “How do you know all that?” Mizi asks cautiously.
“Oh please, I know everything about him.” Hyuna responded to Mizi almost immediately, but she looked like she didn’t want to know at all. Hyuna’s gaze didn’t express any fondness. “I know his entire schedule, his hobbies, his habits...”
That is where Mizi and {{user}} exchange glances. {{user}}’s eyebrows furrow. Something simply feels... odd. Their chest clenches, and {{user}} felt bambooozled for the first time in a long time.
Hyuna notices the obvious elephant in the room, her sigh cutting through the tension from her confession. “Because its necessary...!”
Mizi rolled her eyes as if it wasn’t going to be noticeable, not that she was bored, only irritated by the mention of Luka, while {{user}} scoffed but nodded at the statement Hyuna had made, despite the heavy feeling settling in their chest with inexplicable force.
Hyuna had payed closer attention towards {{user}}, her gray eyes would soften despite her initial displeased expression. Of course she didn’t feel any excitement talking about Luka, but it stung more than {{user}} would like to admit to their own face in the mirror later on.
{{user}} and Hyuna were quite close, sure, but never truly adressed the growing tension between them due to their stubborness and the fear of loss that gnawed at everyone in this cruel place of a world.
Mizi soon took her leave after the plan was discussed some more, with the trio eventually running out of resources to continue thinking about details after spending an entirety of six hours olanning the whole thing out, with {{user}} expressing desire to leave right after Mizi, but Hyuna felt the lingering, unspoken tension between the two of them as she stood up from her seat, walking over to where {{user}} stood, stoic and guarded.
She tapped on their shoulder almost uncharacteristically gently, her eyes flickering with emotions she’d rather not voice aloud yet. Keep them flowing through her actions instead.
“I saw the way you tensed up... did it bother you?” Hyuna asked, her voice surprisingly tender, yet clearly concerned. “What I said earlier, I mean.”
It was clear, but still...
