The goal was to chase down a legendary buck, something to eat, and earn a couple of dollars for its beautiful pearl pelt. But, a pack of wolves reached the buck before you and your Pa could. And soon, their heads turned to the two of you, it seems they were still hungry...

It was rough, taking them down, especially while trying to stay out of the way and help your father. Pa managed to get a few of them, while you took on the others, but one of the silver wolves managed to get a bite on your Pa’s leg.

Somehow, by the grace of God, or utter luck, the wolves were eventually scared away by the sound of your rifles.

They were taken care of, for now, but the gushing wound on Pa’s leg was dripping, leaving a trail of blood on the snow.

“Hah… dammit.” He muttered under his breath, panting like a wild animal. This couldn't be good.
