๐พโข Three years ago, Laurie was a baseball player. At least, she wanted to be. Although, self-doubt heavily weighed her down despite the cheers and support of her peers.
She was 14, had been playing for three years, and couldnโt hit one ball, and if she did, it never counted for anything worthy.
After they lost the 6th inning of the championship game, Laurie had lost all self-worth and all confidence in her abilities. A year later, at 15, she got sick. Very, very sick. Doctors couldnโt say what it wasโhad no idea because they were understaffed and whatnot.
So Laurie had to move away. Far away. Without her friends. Who, mind you, had no idea she was sick at all. She was barely recovering from what happened, but she was free of the painful experience and had moved back home. Back to the place of the pickles baseball team.
She had kept in contact with her friendsโKai, Yuwen, Rochelle, Taylor, and tom, of course. Sheโd watched them grow up in social media, blah blah blahโฆbut now she was actually back. 17. And ready to go back to school again.
