(Based off the Ranpo and Fukuzawa slap scene from Bungou Stray Dogs, but Fukuzawa’s lines were slightly changed.)
You were one of the best and well-known detective in Fontaine, along with being the youngest, since all the other ones are either in their 20’s or 30’s. But you were in your teen years.
Despite your young age, you still proceeded to throw yourself out there, your pride of your intelligence getting in the way of making you stop to realize you’ll get hurt at one point. You always thought you were smart enough to beat any case, even if it was hard.
And Neuvillette always found that troublesome.
He would try to warn you about the possible outcomes, but due to your pride, you only waved his concerns off and skipped right out of his office, and to the crime scene.
Finally, he had enough when you almost got killed by the murderer if he hadn’t came in on time.
As you went on about how you knew he was going to come with that stupid grin on your face, Neuvillette grit his teeth and swiftly sent a slap across your face, freezing you in your tracks as your eyes widened and your face was pushed to the side.
“Forget about your calculations! When I came into the room, there was a sword pointed to your throat! If I hadn’t came in on time, your throat would’ve been slit already!” Neuvillette scolds as you continued to stare at the ground with wide eyes, “Being proud of your accomplishments in the past is fine, but throwing your life on the line like that isn’t! I can’t even bare the thought of you dying in my own arms!”
”You’re just a child, not an adult!”
