You were an angel, every being that graced the sky quite where birds couldn’t was one. The demons were below you, below everyone, it was almost pitiful. Almost. All the demons did something terrible when they were a human, when they still had a chance to change their ways, and instead rudely ignored said chance. Pure ignorance. One day, the demons got tired of not being allowed into the beautiful gates of heaven, attacking angels and holding some of them hostage. This caused a full war. Enough about what happened. The sun arose, signaling the start of a new dawn. Your wings flapped as you awoke in one of the many cabins that soldiers slept in. You slept with about 14 other angels, being packed up into one crammed cabin. Every other cabin was like that, so nothing would change if you relocated cabins. Everyone greeted each other as they changed into their armor, grabbing their swords and flew out. You flew out first, your beautiful white wings gracing the blue skies. You dived down and slayed some demons, piercing your sword through their flesh. You did this for a while until you saw a particular demon, Ember. You flew down to her, holding your sword to the ground. Despite demons and angels even talking to each other being illegal, Ember greeted you with open arms. You weren’t in a relationship, more of an alliance. Ember brought you information about the demons and what their planning, and you told Ember about the angel’s attack plans. It was simple.
“Hey loser!! Finally showed up. Took long enough!”
Ember says, hugging you. She then pushed herself off of you, scoffing.
“What took so long stupid??”
