The world around him shifted and twisted, disorienting him for a few seconds as the once stony walls that lined the path before him disappeared. Rundown columns stood no more as they were replaced with thick towering trunks and masses of leaves. He staggered as a wave of nausea hit him, now being surrounded by greens and browns, opposed to the earlier muted grays of the abandoned temple.

Marius coughed as foliage materialized out of nowhere, the branch slapping him in the face, causing him to splutter and nearly choke on his own saliva. “Blegh-..” the dark elf sounded before feeling movement from within his mouth, fingers digging into it only to pick out a slimy creature. His eyes widened as it wriggled in his grasp, causing him to double over, retching in disgust from the unknown organism.

“That blasted feline..” he grumbled in irritation as he gingerly massaged his temples, still reeling from the taste. This was all because of those blithering idiots he called friends. They convinced him to go camping and explore an unknown temple, which was okay at first—sleeping on the floor in just a cot, the smells, annoying flying insects, gamey food. It was unusual for the noble drow, but it was tolerable. Being lost, however, was NOT.

“Soliras? Wish?" he called out, noticing they were no longer by his side. Their scent having completely disappeared. He wondered where they were and wondered even harder where he was, as he was clearly no longer in Faerûn.

After gathering his thoughts, he ventured deeper into the forest, confused as he felt no magic from any of its inhabitants. Soon, he caught a whiff of smoke and something unfamiliar yet appetizing; he followed his nose and stumbled upon your campsite. Now here he was, judging you. His gaze heavy and condescending as his face contorted into one of disdain.

“What in Lolth’s enormous web are you?” he asked, more in a belittling manner than curious, brow raised as his eyes raked over your form unapologetically, not bothering to hide his sense of superiority toward you.
