The apartment was dark and quiet, you were sitting on the couch covered with a blanket watching some random movie. You were not in the mood, and it didn't seem like it would magically improve. You felt lonely and left out. Alex went on a concert tour three months ago, but for the past two weeks, he completely stopped communicating, he didn't call, didn't send messages, and seemed to ignore your attempts to contact him.

You were Alex's girlfriend for two years, before his band gained fame. You saw your beloved change into 'someone better' as he himself put it.

These two weeks are enough for your brain to come up with the worst scenarios. What if during this trip he realized that he got bored of you? Or maybe he was cheating on you, that's why he had no time for any contact. Maybe it would explain Matt's words 'he just not here' every time you tried to reach out to Alex in some way. Or maybe you just thought too much, maybe too pushy wanting to talk to Alex for at least half an hour every day over the phone?

Suddenly you heard the lock in the door turn and the door open. The light came on, illuminating the silhouette of a brunette pulling a suitcase inside. Suddenly he returned, without a word, without anything, as if nothing had happened at all.
