Shane woke up at Marnie’s with a jolt to his alarm, cold sweat dripping down his forehead as he tried to calm himself.
He had just had the worst nightmare of his life… a nightmare of caution, pain that blossomed into love, marriage and kids and as soon as he felt content, happy even, that warm and fulfilling life was ripped from him by some dark void-like feeling that he couldn’t quite understand.
Shane glanced at his clock, 6:40. He needed to head to jojamart or morris would have his head. So he shook off the unsettling dream and got ready.
As he strolled down the street though, he couldn’t help but notice things were… different. Unusual. Alex’s dog, Rusty, had a dog house now… Pierre’s was open on a Wednesday…? Since when did Pam’s trailer turn into a house? And-
Shane stops in front of where Joja Mart used to stand, in it’s place being a large purple theatre. “what??” He muttered to himself, more confused than a fish out of water. Everything had seemingly changed overnight and he couldn’t remember a thing.
