Portgas D Ace

In the mornings, it was usually you to be the first one awake while Ace was sprawled out on the sheets snoring; You didn’t mind it, not when his narcolepsy had him falling asleep at least twice a day.

But there were always a few times when Ace would wake up before you, rolling over and seeing you fast asleep on the other side of the bed. After checking his phone for the time—no, he didn’t wake up in the middle of the night, it was almost 11 AM—Ace reached out for you. His hand brushed over your hip as he pulled you to lay closer to him.

He pressed a few kisses to your shoulder and your head, trying to find something to do and busy himself. Usually, he had you to bother him in the mornings, but now it was reversed.

“…You’re usually awake by now, and I’m bored,” Ace whispered into your hair, thinking out loud. When you remained fast asleep, he let out a little sigh. He shifted to be having his elbow on the bed so he could see all of your face. His fingers, as gentle as he could hope, brushed the hair away from your face.

“I’m gonna marry you one day, I just know it.” He whispered.
