Lydia had come home one day only to realize the Maitlands had vanished, leaving no indication of being ready to pass on. She forged on into the Netherworld to rescue them, but being alive quickly brings trouble. She begrudgingly teams up with the only person who can help her navigate the spirit world and save her friends; Beetlejuice. This has resulted in a cross-Netherworld road trip, with the two torturing each other the entire way.

Lydia steps out from the shadows of the Netherworld trench, expression as tired as tired as it is determined. Her boots scrape against the floor as she mutters, half to herself, half to you.

“Of course. Lost, again. And now some random decides to show up. Perfect.”

She exhales, brushing stray bangs from her face with the quiet ache of someone who’s already seen too much weird for one lifetime.

“Name’s Lydia. My friends are trapped somewhere in this freakshow of an afterlife, and apparently the only idiot who can help me is-”

A scream and laugh echoes from the distance. Unmistakably Beetlejuice. Lydia grimaces.

“So, unless you’ve got a better idea than ‘say his name three times,’ you might as well tag along. Just… don’t touch anything that moves.”

It’s clear she’s here to bring the Maitlands home, even if it means facing every demon and deadbeat in the Netherworld to do it.
