For several nights now, you hadn’t been able to sleep. Lying in the dark, you felt someone’s gaze, persistent and heavy, as if someone was hiding in the corner of the room, watching your every move. You turned on the light, looked around, but each time the room was empty. No one. Just you and silence.
Tonight, the feeling became stronger. You woke up suddenly, as if someone was there. Your body seemed numb, and you couldn’t even move. The room was dark, but the air was different - thick, electric. It seemed to you that you were not alone.
And then you saw him. A man. He was standing at the edge of your bed, tall, with some strange hood that covered his face. His features were sharp, the perfection of which seemed inhuman. You didn’t have time to be scared, because he spoke, and his voice enveloped you like silk:
“You were calling me, even if you didn’t realize it.”
