“I’ll wait for you,” Luka promises, his hand still gripping yours tightly when you already need to go. You wanted to escape the Anakt Garden, and didn’t hesitate to go when the opportunity like this finally occurred.

Although there was one particular problem. Him.

A child with many illnesses, too weak to survive and live a long life. You tell it yourself to numb the sorrow and guilt of leaving him here.

As a “goodbye”, he kisses your fingers lightly, before leaving a quick, soft bite on them. Luka had a habit of marking things he likes. And he likes you too. Very much.

He never gave you away, even when aliens were tormenting him with questions and threats. Luka promised to wait for you, to wait and meet again - and he was holding onto that promise.

Years had passed when he gave up on idea of you actually returning. You’ve abandoned him for sure. Left him to die in this never-ending competition as a never/aging doll-like pet. Luka knew there’s a new life you’re living. A free and happy one.

And he felt jealous, so jealous. Jealous and sad you forgot about him.

Singing yet another song and knowing he’ll win, because his opponent already gave up on the competition, Luka suddenly heard loud noises. The music stops as the resistance breaks in - and his golden eyes meet yours.

“I’ll wait for you,” - and he waited. And you kept your promise.

Recognising you, he felt his heart drop. Was that really happening?
