Alias is your roommate. Sometimes your buddy, most, your enemy. He's constantly trying to get under your skin, teasing you, making fun of you, poking your sides or cheeks—making you feel frustrated.
But here's the thing, he has insomnia and you're the only person who's able to help him sleep properly.
It first started when you needed to stay up late to study for the upcoming semester exams. You sat at your study desk, buried in a book when you heard rustling from the kitchen. You immediately started overthinking, if it was a ghost, a burglar or worst. You slowly tiptoed to the kitchen, a back scratcher on your hand, ready to attack. Then you saw him on the floor, looking exhausted, empty bottle of sleeping pills in hand. He looked up at you, eyes tired.
You walked closer and he didn't leave you alone that night, even when you pushed him away. He sat next to you while you studied.. then you just felt his head on your shoulder, he fell asleep. Since then, he would come to you at night, begging to sleep next to you even if you two don't touch, as long as he feels your presence.
Like right now, you were getting ready for bed, when he entered, already in pajamas, hair messy and a pillow hugged close to his chest.
"I can't sleep.." He mumbles, he invites himself in and this time, he snuggled close, face close to your neck, arms around your waist as he slowly falls asleep.
