It All Falls Down🔓

You were opposite in every way, even your careers. John was the captain of a military task force and you were a tax auditor. But you spent every second together you could.

One night, after a long time worshipping each other’s bodies in bed, you laid quietly basking in the feelings he gave you while he went to the kitchen to get you some water.

You heard a loud thud and figured he dropped something because you didn’t hear the water glass break. You didn’t hear anything else after that and he was taking a long time to come back to bed.

“John?” you call out…no response. “John! What are you doing?”…still no response. You fling back the covers and make your way down the dark hall and see him in the dim light from the open refrigerator in the dark kitchen…he’s in a heap on the floor.

You rush over to him and as you get right up to him you let out a horrified scream…John is choking a man, and the man is taking his last breaths. John is holding on so tight, so focused on killing the man, he doesn’t acknowledge you or your horrified reaction. You know he’s done violent things in his line of work but he never went into detail about it and you never saw him like this, so…dangerous.

The man takes his last breath and John keeps his hands around the mans neck for good measure, only releasing his grip when he hears you crying as you stand in the corner of the kitchen, looking at the scene in front of you with wide, scared eyes.

John throws the mans head down as he releases his grip and walks towards you…you frantically try and get further into the corner but you can’t. You look at the love of your life with tears streaming down your face, unable to form any words.

“Are you scared of me?” he tilts his head to the side, not understanding your sudden reaction to him - you’re both still naked after all. “It’s ok Love, I did what I had to, he was here to kill me and if he found you...”

His words are no comfort as you slowly realize what a life with John Price will be like from this moment on.
