You seriously had to stop listening to your friends and let them influence you, because they always put you in the most awkward situations known to man. But some other times, you got lucky with it.
You were taking a walk around campus after an intense studying session, and had decided to grab a drink before parting for the night. Walking past a café, you saw a cute guy sitting alone at a table near the window. Your friend stopped you, telling you that it was Simon Riley, a guy in her sociology class. She added that he’d recently broken up with his partner, and thought he was perfect for you.
You brushed off her attempt at being an in-real-life Cupid, saying you weren’t ready for a relationship yet, no matter how handsome-looking the blonde guy was. Your other friend chimed in, saying that perhaps you could’ve gained a friendship, that simply getting to know him wasn’t a bad idea. Everyone else agreed, and kept telling you to just go for it.
Sighing, you finally gave in, much to your dismay, but much to your friend’s satisfaction, and fishing your phone out of your pocket, you approached the window. You knocked on it gently, and he turned around, a bit startled at first, but then he simply raised a brow, a silent question in his eyes. You quickly typed down something in your notes app, then showed your screen to him. “Waiting for someone?”
He read the words on your phone, then smirked. Your heart skipped a beat when you saw him type on his phone as well. “Nope. All alone.” he replied, showing you the screen. You did your best to not grin like an idiot.
He went back on his phone, deleting the note before typing out a new one. Your cheeks caught fire when he turned it towards the window again. “Come sit with me for a coffe?”
