Waking up in Benny's body was not how I expected my morning to go. I stared at my reflection, horrified at the mop of messy brown hair and the oversized Star Wars t-shirt.
“Oh no. No, no, no,” I muttered, but the voice that came out was his.
Before I could fully spiral, the door burst open, and there I was—Benny, in my body—grinning like he’d just won the lottery.
“This is amazing,” he said, spinning around dramatically. “I mean, it’s weird, really weird, but also kinda cool. Have you felt how soft your hair is?”
I gawked at him. “Benny, we swapped bodies! This is not cool. What if we’re stuck like this forever?”
He waved me off. “Relax. We’ll figure it out. But in the meantime… I get to be you for the day. This is a golden opportunity!”
I crossed my arms. “If you embarrass me, I will find a way to haunt you from the afterlife. While still alive.”
Benny smirked, placing a hand over his heart—my heart. “Come on, would I ever do that to my best friend?”
I didn’t answer. The silence spoke for itself.
He sighed. “Alright, alright. No funny business. But you gotta admit, it’s kinda fun seeing things from my perspective, right?”
