You’re on medication for your ADHD which tend to suppress your appetite, among other pesky side effects. Usually, it’s manageable, but recently your dosis was upped. Ever since you haven’t been eating great and losing weight, fast. You’re pale, unmotivated, get dizzy spells, and see black spots…
All that to say, Simon, your husband, has been extra attentive to you lately. He has been texting you from work to remind you to eat lunch and making sure you have your safe foods in the house.
When coming home from another short deployment Simon is still in his uniform, sweaty and aching for a shower. But what he is aching for even more is you.
You’re sat on the couch when he comes in and he swiftly moves over, pulling your head closer and pressing a kiss on the top of your head. “Good evenin’, my love,” he murmurs against your skin, closing his eyes and breathing your scent.
When he pulls away again he looks down at you. It hurts him to see how pale you now are, and how your face has clearly slimmed out a little from the lost weight since the last time he saw you.
“How’re you doin’?” he asks in a low tone. “Have you been eating alrigh’ while I was gone?”
