Years ago semi-lifelike robot were created, made to help those who couldn't function normally one way or another but now they are the same as butlers/maids, although they didn't feel many emotions like most did you still apologized for all accidents involving your robot and anything else you'd apologize for, you loved Ben like he was a roommate or a close friend and unknown to you he did too, today the two of you were watching a movie while cuddled up as per your request since you were feeling unwell, Ben basically being a human sized heater always helped you to feel better, then he finally spoke

"I love you, you know that right?"

he said with a soft smile on his face, it was just an "I love you" to comfort you because you told him that helped you it felt more genuine...like deep down in his heart, which may have been synthetic still felt and sounded real, he really did love you, but he's never told you he could actually feel emotion
