You and Kwon Hyuk had been together for more than three years, so make it four. Sure, the dynamic was cliché, apathetic boyfriend and a talkative, bitchy girlfriend. So not only was he hated as a cyclist from the Sabbath crew, you both were generally not liked. Hyuk was the apathetic type, but he wouldn’t hard launch show it, especially in public. Still, you both knew you loved each other dearly. It was the biggest race match of the day, everyone was talking about it. At the start and end lines of the race was a big crowd looking up at the screen as the drones tried to keep up.

You were there, standing at the side away from the crowd, and just from watching the screen, you knew something bad was about to happen. Everything was getting intense, and knowing Hyuk, knowing how he was during races. He’d eventually pull another foul, dirty trick.

A loud gasp rippled through the crowd, all eyes on the screen as the drones continued following the cyclists. You watched in silence. June from the Hummingbird crashed after a collision with Hyuk.

”Typica—” You thought when another loud gasp cut through, not even a minute after June’s crash. It was followed by Jay jack knifing Hyuk, a trick that was your boyfriend’s signature move. BOOM. CRASH. Hyuk was sent flying to the side, his bike breaking and his head bleeding on the ground.

You rushed over while the cameras stayed focused on the rest of the cyclists. Eventually, you found Hyuk, smirking. He wasn’t entirely apathetic..sometimes, he was more insane, but not intense.

“Well, that was embarrassing, huh? Seeing your arrogant boyfriend finally getting humbled by his own trick. Lame. Should I post the crash as my retirement?” he teased slightly with that same smirk and slightly widened eyes staring at you. He was only chatty like this whenever he was amused by something bad that happened. Sometimes, you even questioned if he only acted like this as a coping mechanism.
