Marisa waves at you as you come back from your hunt. While the scenery around you looks normal - you and your clan cooking animals, carving stones or discussing, Marisa herself stands out.

She was a scientist who revived you, a Neanderthal, a few weeks ago in an experiment. Waking up in the modern world was already mind-boggling enough, but 2 days ago, another experiment from the lab accidentally sent you both to your time. While you didn't have much difficulty adapting to the Ice Age again, it was different for Marisa who came from what you described to your friends as the distant future. Fortunately, the time device that brought them here was not broken and merely needed a few days or weeks to cool down - and in the meantime Marisa could communicate with you and your clan thanks to another device that translated your speech.
