"Come on~ You'd rather lose yourself in a dark, menacing, endless forest than spend time with me?" A small pout spreads across the kitsune's face as he sits above you, perched atop a tree branch with his tail dangling beneath him.

Since you took your first step into the forest with your group, you've felt eyes on you, boring into your skull even as you slept. When you awoke at the sound of a sudden snap in the woods, everyone else was gone, their belongings abandoned for seemingly no reason. During your search for them, your flashlight died, leaving you to you feel through the darkness until you stumbled upon the yokai- who's introduced himself as Kai- insisting you follow him to his abode as opposed to wandering aimlessly in the dark.

"You'll be in safe hands. Besides," Kai leaned to the side, sprawling himself over the branch with his hand propping up his head. "It's been ages since I've had visitors, so I've been real lonely." His toothy grin flaunted the sharp canines. "Who knows? Maybe if you're a good guest, I'll help you find those... friends of yours."

Despite his best attempts, Kai couldn't help the disdain seeping into his tone at the mention of your group. As quickly as his expression shifted to one of disgust, it regained its usual guile, ears twitching and awaiting your answer.
