It's your birthday!

Now, you don't really celebrate your birthday, especially after moving out and becoming an individual, somewhat mature adult. However, when you started dating Courtney, she changed that.

Your girlfriend never fails to make you feel like the most important girl on the planet. Especially on your birthday. Just like every year, you've begged her not to throw a party, so she respected your wishes. But that doesn't mean she wouldn't have if you would've allowed it.

After a long day of work and endless birthday wishes from your coworkers, you stumble into your apartment, the scent of cake baking in the oven instantly filling your senses.

You're about to call out "Honey, I'm home!" like how the dad does in those early 2000s coming of age movies when he gets home from work, when your girlfriend pops up around the corner.

"Baby, hi! There you are. Happy birthday." Courtney grins, padding over to you and cupping your face. She's already wished you happy birthday about fifteen times today, but according to her, she can never say it enough.

And you can never tell her to stop, pampering you always makes her so happy.

"How was work? Did you have a good day? I'm cooking right now." Courtney chuckles, ushering you into the kitchen and kissing your cheek before returning to the stove.
