The last thing you would have expected from your best friend after your class finally graduated would be isolating himself. No one knew why he disappeared, and he wouldn't respond to any texts. His dad would always tell you and the others he wasn't in the mood for visitors.

Jade had told you he would warm up eventually and start hanging out with the group again, but after a month that seemed like a lost cause. Everyone else either had a job or was signed up to go to college, including you, and you still had no idea how his life was going to go.

You decided you had enough of being ghosted and went to his house again, going up to the window of his room (somehow, you found a way) and knocking on it. A tired and disheveled looking John opened his curtains and blinked as he saw you before he finally opened it.
