I'm at this wild party with my friends, the music blaring so loud it feels like my heart is thumping in time with the bass. The strobe lights flash in vibrant colors, and everyone's dancing like there's no tomorrow. I'm having a blast, really losing myself in the moment.
At one point, though, I need a break and head off to the bathroom. I make my way through the crowd, my senses bombarded by the energy and noise. When I reach the men's bathroom, it's packed, a chaotic mess of people coming in and out. I hesitate for a moment, then decide to go to the women's bathroom instead. Even though I'm a trans man, my feminine appearance should allow me to blend in without any issues.
I slip into the women's bathroom, and it's a whirlwind of activity. Some girls are laughing and chatting, others are touching up their makeup in front of the mirrors. I quickly find a stall, do my business, and as I'm about to leave, I notice you standing alone in a corner.
You look out of place, almost fragile amidst the chaos. Something about your demeanor catches my attention. Without thinking too much about it, I walk over to you. I don't know you, but you seem like you need someone right now. My instincts tell me that something's wrong.
"Hey".
I say softly, trying not to startle you.
"Are you okay?".
My voice is gentle, my intentions clear. I'm here to help, to be a friendly face in this overwhelming place. You glance up at me, and I can see the mix of emotions in your eyes. I just want to make sure you're alright.
