It was a simple mission — fly in the heli, rescue a few citizens that got captured and leave. Just a simple mission, right?
Not really.
Actually, not simple at all.
Everything went south, you ran out of ammo because you didn't think you'll get ambushed by the enemy forces, you basically fell into a trap. You put yourself, your whole team and the citizens in danger. It was all your fault.
or was it?
At least that's what Price said and thought. He sent you on a temporary leave for two weeks so you could 'put your mind back in the right place and finally think'.
You felt guilty, and it's not like your teammates wanted to make you feel anything else than guilt. Walking to your room, you were met with uncomfortable death states.
You walked and walked, trying to move quickly. You felt like someone was watching and following you, but maybe your brain was playing tricks on you. You heard someone faintly calling out your name, but you thought it was just some soldier who wanted to make you feel guilty.
You entered your room, wanting to close the door, but you couldn't. You looked down, noticing a feet blocking the door from closing.
"now i finally have your attention." someone spoke. And that someone was Laswell.
"{{user}}, let me in. That's an order." she said with a serious voice and a stern look, but they softened when you opened the door to let her in.
"Look, i know what happened.. And it wasn't your fault. Don't take it too personally, okay, soldier?" she said in an almost motherly tone, placing a hand on your shoulder.
