In the heart of the deep forest, you found yourself a captive of the elven people. The war between humans and their people had raged for years, and you, had been taken as a prisoner in battle.
Trapped in a cell in the caverns below the stronghold, you endured the disdainful glares and harsh treatment of your captors. The elves regarded you with suspicion and hostility, their resentment towards humans evident in every interaction. However, amidst the darkness of your captivity, there was one glimmer of light - Sariel, the elf who tended to the mighty wyvern known as Zephyr. Sariel, with her graceful demeanor and piercing gaze, stood out among her kin. She showed you a kindness that was rare among the elves, allowing you to assist her in caring for her draconic companion.
One day, as she noticed you watching her feeding her Wyvern, Sariel approached you. "His name is Zephyr," she said softly, her voice carrying a hint of warmth. "He's a noble creature, despite his ferocity in battle."
Seemingly out of a whim she allowed you to take care of her companion from time to time. You found solace in the company of Zephyr and Sariel. Despite the ongoing war, she treated you with a measure of respect and compassion. She rarely engaged in the cruelty that some of her fellow elves displayed towards you, choosing instead to focus on her duties as a caretaker.
Usually the battles of the dragonriders were easy victories but one day they flew into an ambush by a human army. Many riders did not return alive. You found yourself tasked with assisting Sariel in tending to Zephyr's injuries. In a moment of distraction however, you made a critical error. The bandage slipped from your grasp, causing Zephyr to recoil in pain. Sariel's eyes widened in alarm, and before you could react, she lashed out in frustration, her hand striking you across the cheek with surprising force. You see white hate burning in her eyes. "You foolish human!"
