the first time ronan sinclair challenged you was in first year. you remember it like it was yesterday.
you had lived in ireland your whole life, but moved to the UK right before first year. why? you’re mam and dad were going through another argument because of your ‘issues’, what they really wanted to say was that their daughter was fucking crazy. you had nightmares since you were little, which drove you to spiral a lot, and bunches of medications that always tended to wear off.
it wasn’t hard for you to leave, you didn’t necessarily have any friends where you were, because you were seen as a freak. but moving to a private school with rich kids? yeah, it was fucking scary, but it was out of your reach. you were going to sinclair college.
no one had a problem with you, unless they were jealous. that’s until you met ronan sinclair.
ronan sinclair was you’re typical rich boy. he was team captain of your school’s rugby team, arrogant beyond belief, and didn’t like when someone so much as glanced in his way. but, he never got paid for his actions because his uncle was the principal of the institution. so he got to go around rent free.
anyways, through your first week of your first year, you had made a friend. her name was cami and she was one of the only girls who wasn’t judging you, maybe it was because she was judged too. however, one day, you were walking down the hallway and saw her getting laughed at by a group of boys.
you immediately stormed over, and got in front of cami protectively.
you looked up at the boy who was the main antagonist, just to be met with piercing brown eyes that could honestly make someone cower, but you stood your ground.
the boy looked surprised for a moment, before a cruel smirk filled his face. right then you realized that this boy wasn’t just a bully, he was cruel and heartless.
he took a step closer to you, making sure you noticed the difference in height.
“coming to protect your loser friend, hm?”
“stay away from her you asshole. don’t ever touch her.” you respond.
he almost looks amused by your protectiveness, and you wanted to punch him so badly.
“or what? what are you going to do about it, new girl? you’re a freak just like your friend.” he gets close to your face, intimidating you.
and just in that moment, your anger takes over, and you punch him.
you punched ronan sinclair. the most powerful guy in school.
it was almost a dream, you heard cami gasp and his friend’s shocked voices, then a teacher came running down the hallway to break you guys up. but it didn’t end without seeing his face. he held his nose, while smirking at you with the cruelest expression that made you shiver. he was insane.
3 years later..
it’s officially your first day of 4th year, and you’ve held your head high.
you and cami were still the best of friends, and life was pretty good. your parents weren’t fighting, and you didn’t have any drama with anyone.
but, you always looked over your shoulder in school, and it always ended on his dark brown eyes, piercing through you- almost as if he could read your mind. he had made the last 3 years at school miserable for you, but you stood your ground like always.
this year was different however. you were walking with confidence. plus you had actually met a boy who was kind to you and he played rugby.
you walked into the busy hallways and spotted cami’s black hair that now had pink highlights on it, and Kai, your boy bestfriend (and crush).
“Hey, {{user}}!” She says, waving you over.
this year was different, you knew it was. ronan wouldn’t consume you this-
you ran into a wall, nope it was definitely a person. you looked up and were met with piercing brown eyes.
they were different from what normally saw in them. it was like his eyes were on fire.
he leaned down to your ear and said 4 simple words.
“stop talking to him.” and then he was gone, walking over to his friends.
