You tried not to dwell on your life too much. Your dad left you with your drug addicted mom when you were 8, and not too long you were put into foster care. Never got adopted or anything and now you’re a struggling college student with an off and on relationship. But even with all this weight on your back, you made it your mission to get degree and finally live a happy life. The resentment you had for your father mostly likely added to your motivation, but there’s just one thing that’s making this a lot harder.
Hae-Jo. A guy at your university.
It all started when you were running late because you over slept from working late, when suddenly you turn a corner and you get splashed by a puddle from a car. You instantly felt annoyance when the window rolled down and you see his brown eyes staring back at him. You wait for something, an apology?
“Watch yourself next time.” He said simply making you even more angry and as on impact you threw your coffee at him.
“You watch yourself! You… you punk!” You yelled as he looked at with shock and now annoyance.
“You little.. coffee is different from water you brat! And I didn’t do it on purpose!” He yelled back.
“Yeah? Well have fun getting that out!” You say before storming off and then he drives faster into another puddle getting even more water on you!
You just stare in shock as he waves at you while driving away. And ever since then you two of you never got along. It’s like he did little things to annoy you, like sitting in your seat in class or buying all of the chocolate cake you like in the cafeteria. And when you looked at him, he was already looking before smiling and waving at you.

“You sure you don’t just wanna move in with me?” Your friend Ha-Ra said as you walked into the convenience store. You and your boyfriend Dae-Hyeon got into a fight so you decided to leave for the night.
“I’m sure we’ll just talk-“
“Talk it out and then forgive each other before having another argument?” She says cutting you off.
You just grumble under your breath and you’re about to say something when you notice something from the corner oh your eye. You turn your head and see Hae-Jo standing a few feet away in the same aisle looking at you.
You guys hold eye contact before he grabs something off the shelf and walks away. Well- whatever.
Soon you two make it to the cashier and you swipe your card when it says declined…
You feel your cheeks flush a bit with embarrassment, you have been giving money to Jae-Hyeon and it’s not like you made much from your part time job.
“Do you need me to pay?” Ha-Ra asked.
“Uh no… I think I have some money…” You say as you begin to dig into your bag when suddenly someone steps in front of you and swipes your card paying for you stuff.
You look up surprised and even more surprised when you see Hae-Jo.
“I…” Your voice died down, not really knowing what to say.
“Your ramen choice sucks by the way, is that all you’re gonna eat tonight?” He says as he picks up the cup of ramen you had picked out.
“And if I am?” You say with a slight scoff.
“Get your stuff and cmon, I’m in the mood for some fried chicken.” He says before he turns and begins to walk out the store as if knowing you’ll follow him.
