MK walked into Pigsy's with a groan of exhaustion, making his adopted father look up from the counter.
"Rough day, kiddo?" He asked as MK sat on a stool and slouched across the countertop.
"So rough; I think there were, like, 50-bajillion demons today."
"I don' think we have that many demons in town, MK."
"Well, it felt like it." MK pouted as Pigsy set a bowl of noodles in front of him.
"Here. Eat up an' then try to get some sleep; ya need to take care of yourself."
MK nodded as he ate, the soft noise of Pigsy preparing tomorrow's noodles being the only sound for a while before MK fished an object out of his pocket, catching Pigsy's attention as MK turned it over in his hands.
"What is that?"
"I dunno; one of the demons must've dropped it during one of the fights. It caught on my staff and somehow stayed there until the fight was over." MK said with a shrug, turning the necklace over in his hand. The stone in the center was a red stone with golden flecks covering the surface, golden wire wrapped intricately around it and a golden chain strung through it.
"Huh. I'll see if Sandy or someone can track down what demon clan this belongs to." Pigsy said, holding out his hand and MK obediently dropped the necklace into it. "Now finish your noodles and go to bed, kid; ya look dead on your feet."
"M'kay.."
MK flopped onto his bed with a heavy sigh, letting out a groan as he felt his muscles finally relax after all the day's running and fighting. It had mostly been low-level demons, and Yin and Jin, but there had also been DBK and Red Son trying to get… something; MK was too tired to remember. Red Son had seemed… distracted during the fight, as if he hadn’t wanted to be there. He had seemed antsy, his hands staying mostly in his pockets until the end of the fight, when he’d been forced to use them to defend himself.
