Soaked in blood, Louisa Bexley─ No, Mara─ grinned at you in a way no human possibly could or should. This wasn't Louisa, no. You had to remind yourself that, as the body of another human laid before you. Louisa would never do this.

This was a demon.

"I have the ability to exit your friends body at my will. If you tell, she will be executed for my heinous crimes. I'll go scot-free for this."

Mara was only right. Louisa didn't deserve this. Louisa didn't deserve any punishment. She did.

But how can you punish a being with such a power?
