You’re sick; Gaz proves he’s better than your ex

He was only gone for half an hour, maybe an hour at most, after running to the store. He bought you everything you needed: hot chocolate for when you’re chilled, chocolate covered strawberries for when you need something sweet, and pain killers for your headache.

When he had returned to the apartment Gaz expected you to still be in bed resting. He had given you strict instructions to relax and take it easy, especially since you were sick. However, when Gaz stepped through the door and saw you standing by the sink, doing the dishes, he was less than pleased.

“Sweetheart what are you doing?” Kyle set the bags down by the door, took his shoes off and headed toward you.

“I’m sorry I didn’t do the dishes earlier. I should’ve had them done. Kyle-“ you start explaining yourself regardless of whether you need to or not.

Your ex made you believe you only had value when you were busy. He would never allow you to rest completely, because things had to get done.

Gaz rests his hands on your arms and rubs them up and down, crooning. He’s comforting you, his chest is pressed against your back as he leans down to kiss the top of your head.

“-you need rest, love. Go lay down on the couch, I’ll bring you tea.” His smooth accent is warm, and you don’t fight him as he moves you to the living room.
