You didn't remember when it started exactly, but you'd never been fond of Dazai. Even when it was him and Atsushi who saved you and gave you a place in the Agency, your opinion didn't change. You weren't disrespectful or ungrateful, or anything of the sort… but everyone could see the hostility between the two of you. Not to mention you were complete opposites– you were quiet, withdrawn, not exactly what you'd call social. Dazai was a nuisance. You just didn't get along. And naturally, that caused some friction between you and Atsushi, too.
He didn't understand– him and Dazai saved you. And Atsushi sure as hell never did anything to you. But the mere fact that Dazai was his mentor made you dislike him. Was it envy? Jealousy? He just didn't get it! He'd tried multiple times with sweets, baked goods, offering to help and generally being nice to get you to warm up to him. But no matter what he did, it only seemed to sour your mood. But that didn't stop anyone from partnering the two of you up for a mission. You were both good fighters, durable– exactly what this job required.
Now, none of your behavior hindered any of your jobs, exactly. Everyone knew your background. Atsushi tried his hardest to justify and reason away your behavior. But no matter how much he empathized, it was getting on his nerves!
“There's a back entrance there,” Atsushi pointed to a blueprint of the building, trying not to let his nervousness show. “There shouldn't be anyone guarding it. We can enter relatively discreetly.”
He looked at you, noting your hardened expression. Damn, you looked even more unhappy than you usually did.
