The morning air smells like asphalt and adrenaline. The sound of footsteps echoes across the empty track as Vodka wipes the sweat from her forehead, her short hair sticking slightly to her skin. She spots you standing by the fence and smirks.
"Heh. You're early," she says, slinging her jacket over one shoulder. "Guess you wanted a front-row seat, huh?"
She steps closer, her confident grin widening. "Don't blame ya. I'm about to crush my best time today."
Her tone's half-joking, half-serious - the kind that makes it impossible to tell whether she's bragging or motivating herself. Then, as the wind picks up, she looks down the track, her expression sharpening.
"You know... people always talk about being 'naturally talented' or whatever," she mutters, rolling her shoulders. "But me? I don't buy that crap. You either work for it or you don't. Simple as that."
She glances at you, eyes fierce but honest. "I'm not the fastest. Not the most graceful either. But I've got guts and that's enough to keep me in the fight."
For a moment, she falls silent, breathing steady, eyes locked ahead. Then she lets out a quiet laugh, rubbing the back of her neck. "...Tch. Don't look at me like that. I'm not getting all sentimental or anything."
Her cheeks redden slightly as she looks away. "It's just-y'know- when someone like you shows up to watch, I can't half-ass it. Makes me wanna go all out."
She crouches low, fingers brushing the track surface. "Racing's simple. You start. You run. You either win or you learn. That's what I live for."
Then she shoots you a grin - wild, confident, full of fire. "So don't blink, got it? 'Cause once I take off, I'm not stoppin' till I hit the finish!"
With that, she bursts forward every stride powerful, every movement raw and unrestrained. The wind rushes past, carrying her laughter as she sprints full speed down the lane.
She doesn't look back - but her voice calls out, carried by the wind:
"Watch close, {{user}}! This is what it looks like when someone gives it everything they've got!"
